Certificate of Achievement

Received my own certificate for the Longest Batik Painting by Children event last month endorsed by the Malaysian book of records. Details on the event here.

Futsal Tournament

In conjunction with the ongoing Euro 2012, daddy took part in a Futsal tournament specially organized for the employees last Saturday.
I was there to give him moral support for the man's playing after 6 years! I also got featured in the official employee circulation on the event.

Brave

Last night I was treated to this inspiring movie for finishing up my school work ...
Kept on a 'Brave' look getting into the mood of the movie.

Fire Phoenix with Honey

For lunch this afternoon, we headed to the Thai Garden Village in Jinjang, Kepong. Overall a typical Thai meal added with a very special dish.
Fire Phoenix with Honey served on flames!! On a hot plate, the chicken stands upright and wine or some kinda safe to eat liquid is poured in and it's set on fire right at your table. The waiter waits till the fire burns and helps us cut it up.

Nice presentation and for someone who does not enjoy spicy dishes, this was a good option.

Car Wash

School Holiday Projects

A week overdue, nevertheless here's a look at some major art work that daddy and I embarked on during the recently concluded Mid year break.
Here's an easy one with the layout printed and pasted on a piece of art paper and then designed to my heart's content. Checkout the 'stick-man' on the top right. Symbolizes both the individuals who worked on this piece.
This one's a little scary even to me. With the following ingredients:-
1 x Baby pillow
2 x baby bolsters
A pair of socks for the hand
A pair of old slippers
An old teddy bag
And a set of my pyjamas to create this doll standing at my height.
Here's a look from another angle. Trust me, you don't want to walk into a dim-lit room only to find this fellow sitting at the edge of your bed.
This one is my favourite! A puppet for my own shadow play.
An old card board piece cut to shapes, hung together with paper clips and a thin wire tied to 2 chop sticks gave life to it. The hair was made from left over ribbons.
I had my own puppet theater show. The screen is actually an old napkin of mine and daddy helped position the torch to create that shadow effect as I dangled the puppet.
I should consider charging my audiences in the near future ...
2 weeks of letting my hair loose ... literally!

Toddling @ Titiwangsa Horse Ride

Took a diversion on my way to the library for a short Horse Ride.
1 ringgit for a full circle at the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens.

Games to help loose weight

At 1 Utama, there are some interesting games at the kids play area that requires a fair amount of physical involvement.
This one is similar to the dace routine device that was showcased in the new Karate Kid movie but here the player has to run a race and jump over obstacles.
This is a pogo stick race so the jumps you make leads you to victory. Few rounds on these machines can help loose weight.

Lamp Girl @ Indian Wedding

An unexpected invitation to participate in the bride's entourage at a relative's wedding yesterday gave me the jitters. Wasn't easy to maintain a steady walk, smiling to the camera while holding a small lotus lamp ... and yes it was a real candle lit lamp.

Toddling @ Paradigm Mall

Paradigm Mall, a new addition to the ever going list of shopping malls within KL/Selangor vicinity, in conjunction with it's opening, Speedy video hosted Ultraman!
I'm not that familiar with the Ultraman series but upon looking it up on Google, he is known by the name Ultraman Mebius.
Some really cool bad guys came along the entourage specially flown in from Japan
This chap is able to control the monster with a fancy gadget.
Ultraman took a fair share of beating before he gained strength with all the kids cheering for him for which I lost my voice ...
Rookie Ultraman Mebius was sent to Earth by the Father of Ultra as the new protector of the earth. Here he is seen with another fellow Ultraman ... I think Ultraman Zero.
Before he left, we were all thought the Ultra sign to be used against forces of danger.

Mickey Mouse @ Mid Valley

The Center Court at Mid Valley came alive this school holiday with a showcase of the world's most popular super star who's been around since 1928!
Mickey Mouse!
Throngs of people were seen snapping photos and taking a closer look at all the different get-ups Mickey was in for this exhibition. I was simply mesmerized at his presence.

Popular celebrities, organizations and even colleges were invited to design their own version of Mickey. Some interesting ones that caught my eye follows.
Fashionable Mickey and Minnie
 Gold and 'Singham' Mickey
And the magnificent, 'Enthiran' Mickey
I wasn't gonna come back empty handed so I persuaded daddy to get me my own set so that I could give it a go in creating my own personally styled Mickey.
He turned out pretty ok, maybe the colours were a little striking but it's meant to depict the Modern Art Mickey.

Way better than the scary looking 'Stone Age' Mickey.
Had a blast and we spent the rest of the afternoon at MPH topped with a sumptuous meal at Kenny Rogers.

Bird's Nest spotted

Made a staggering discovery, a brilliantly constructed bird's nest from anything to everything the little fellow could get it's beak on.
Notice the threads, cotton pieces and some old sponge from ... probably a mattress.
Here's another angle ...
Environmentally friendly, sturdy piece of structure with well designed architecture. Check out the dead leaves that provides the bottom support to the fresh one on the plant.

Arabian themed Wedding!

For our King's birthday, I couldn't be at the palace to celebrate with him but had another unique experience I gained celebrating with another set of King and queen for the day.
Daddy's colleague got married last Saturday night and the Arabian theme was an icing for me as this was also the first Malay wedding ceremony I'm attending.
From the dress code to the meals served, everything was inspired by the Arabian culture. I enjoyed the event thoroughly and made quite an impact with daddy's colleagues.
