OMG!

My Borther arrives home!

Yesterday we brought the champ home and there was an instant air of excitement all around. I was simply overjoyed! We clicked instantly and he loves my singing!
We brought in an experienced 'pati' (grandmother) to look after his needs. She has been referred by reliable contacts, who does baby care on contract.
I recall going thru the same experience but my contracted 'pati' was one of a kind cause I received great massage during my bath time. I guess all those massage helped in strengthening my bones and thanks to her I turned out pretty active.

New Eats @ The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

While I was at the hospital, late in the evening, I caught dinner at the Coffee Bean as all other options were closed for the day and boy was this the right choice made.
I opted for Cheesy Lasagna. It was well prepared with the right balance of pasta and minced meat served with a delicious sauce. Enjoyed it thoroughly!
Double hot chocolate to wrap it all up.

New Addition to the Family!

Last Wednesday, we celebrated the 'Valaikappu' which typically means 'The Bangle Ceremony. In other words, it's a baby shower for the Tamil community.
This is a ceremony celebrated by the women folks in the family to 'shower' the pregnant mother with glass bangles, attended by family members and friends.
The highlight is when children are asked to pick a delicacy that the expectant mother keeps in a bag that's kept hidden wrapped with the end of her Saree. The majority shape of the delicacy picked by the children is believed to hint the gender of the baby.
Exactly a week later, yesterday morning, 18th June, we welcomed ... Him!
A bundle of joy and my future partner in crime as we add happiness to the family.

Morning Western Breakfast

On Saturday, daddy and I headed out for looking to get some food and stumbled upon this outlet in Menjalara that offered Western fare for breakfast.
Though we knew it existed, we never really tried it out. The breakfast set was very nice and had lots of variety to choose from. This was my choice.
The meal was just as good as any fine dining restaurant. The odd timing prevented us from enjoying a lovely meal while watching live games in the spirit of the world cup!
There were many places decked in flags of the countries participating and offered great snacks and main courses to savour while watching them on big screens.
I also happen to bump into an event organized by WeChat promoting a new game at Paradigm Mall. Tried my hand at it but racing isn't really my thing.
Took some shots with the mascots.

Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day! I was a bit groggy from sleep when I wished daddy early this morning but we all had a gala time over lunch in Brickfields.
Aunty and Uncle hosted the lunch and they picked the classy Indian restaurant - Annalakshmi located within the vicinity of the Temple of Fine Arts.
The place was filled with people and it looked more like regular patrons as they all seem to know each other and the volunteers were mingling easy with everyone.
We opted for the buffet as the choices were aplenty and very appealing. The restaurant practices, pay as you wish concept based on the philosophies of Swami Shantananda Saraswati, the founder of Temple of Fine Arts.
Lunch was awesome with both the families but what stood out most was me and daddy decked in Argentinian colours. Made heads turn in the restaurant. Father's Day this year was extra memorable coinciding with the World Cup and daddy will be cheering for Argentina tomorrow!

Pills!!

I've always relied on liquid for medicines but I guess I'm no longer a kid so the doctor prescribed pills. Had some initial challenges but eventually got a hang of it.

Lovely Pizza

I had to write about this place, The Island Cafe in SS2, Petaling Jaya. It was a place found by chance as we were driving looking for new eats.
Lovely setting with a bar, to serve the football fans.
The crusted chicken had a very 'indianized' sauce to it but it was far too spicy for me.
My favourite here was their pizza! The thick breading and tomato base just adds the flavour to the chunky meat and cheese oozing all over. Hhhmmm ...

World Cup 2014

The games started on a high note early this morning with Brazil beating Crotia. I didn't catch the live game but caught the highlights at 7am this morning.
Yesterday evening as a build up to the opening game, I tried some fancy footwork and was amazed at some of the shots I took.
An attempt at sliding tackle. I'm rooting for Argentina but got a soft spot for Portugal only because of Christiano Ronaldo. Game On!
