Information Technology

It's still early for me to be thinking about my career. Nevertheless it's good to explore options that might turn out being my permanent calling.

This was at Carrefour Subang. They had these machines setup for kids to try out. Something that you wouldn't find easily anywhere else.

I'm beginning to enjoy this.

Toddling @ KLCC

Last weekend was a slow moving one. Everyone was so bored at home we just had to go out to unwind. KLCC became our desperate stop.

It was a rainy afternoon yet the place was bustling with people. For me it was an exciting outing running in and out of the stores. Cruising through the crowd, I ran into a very interesting outlet.

The place is called 'Girls'. It was all in pink and they had an array of accessories for us girls. Daddy got scared when he saw me dashing in like that. I wouldn't blame him, it's his money I'm going to spend.

The Handbag collection was to die for. With Daddy's credit card, i'll be having matching bags for all my garments.

The hair clip and ribbons were very small and cute. I didn't get any cause my collection at home was good enough for now.

My Meals

"Feeding toddlers can be challenging. They are often picky eaters, are hesitant to try new foods, and in general, don't seem to eat very much."

This is an extract from a popular children's diet website. I couldn't agree more with it. Fortunately for me, my meal plan is a very flexible one.

I have a large serving of porridge for lunch and dinner, it consists of a very indianized mixture. Rice, with lots of vegetables. I get tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, beans, fresh greens (different types), onions, garlic, ginger ... etc. In goes a piece of fish or chicken for the meatiness.

It looks like this but minus the side dish and loads of pepper on it. Grandma meticulously prepares my meals. It is then nicely blended for a yummy serving.

My mornings start with milk and oats nestum followed by mid day juice. I get my share of mini bites when we go out. From Auntie Anne's pretzels ...

to Papa Roti buns ...

Laptop Computer

That's daddy's laptop computer, He's got a clip from Dora the Explorer series that I love watching over and over again.

I'm marveled at what one can do with a portable box like this. It's so handy that daddy gets his work done, let me watch cartoon, play music and the ever famous Microsoft Pinball game.

Originally perceived as suitable for business people but today, there are more laptops than desktops around. Everyone wants a unit including me.

I've got my eyes on a few models and am still surveying. This is one such model.

Toddling with ASIMO

Last Sunday was a very inspiring trip for me to 1 Utama. I had the opportunity to see ASIMO in action. ASIMO stands for Advance Step in Innovative Mobility. It is a humanoid robot created by Honda Motor Company.

There was a large turnout to see him in action. ASIMO resembles a small astronaut wearing a backpack. He can walk or run on his little two feet up to 6 km/h. I'm faster, I can do 10 km/h. Watch him go.

Some lucky children were picked from the audience to dance with ASIMO on stage. Daddy didn't wanna send me up cause I bound to steal the limelight with my dancing skills.

According to Honda, there are 46 of them worldwide. Each one costs less than $1 million USD. With such a price tag, I can forget about getting him as my buddy to play with.

He is indeed an inspiration to all of us that The Sky is the Limit. Makes my spirit soar high.

Toddling @ HP Family Day

Aunty works for Hewlett Packard Computers. Daddy's Rival. This morning the accounting department had their Family Day at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia in Kepong.

It was a rainy morning plus we were the first to arrive so we decided to wait a while.

Family day outings brings horrendous memories to me. Not because of the activities, food or the people. It's the Clowns!

I've always had the fear for them and at IBM's last family day, I was all teary eyes and never really got any play time thanks to them.

This time around, 6 months older, I'm more matured and prepared to face my fears. Daddy was trying to stop me from getting closer but I garnered enough courage to get this close. Mr. Clown was kind enough to make a number of balloon sculptures for me. So I guess we're friends now.

They had Face painting too. I couldn't sit still cause the brush kept tickling me so the flowers on my cheek went haywire. Well it's half as good as it should be ... thanks to the skillful artist.

Daddy and I participated in one of the games they had, it was for daddy to blow a balloon as big as he could and then me to stomp on it.

We emerged as Champions! This is the second Daddy Child competition that we have participated and came out winners. The previous one was a Daddy Change Diaper contest at Carrefour Kepong. I know I didn't do much but having your diapers changed in public is not for the faint hearted.

This is what I got as a present. It's a set of Blowpen markers. Sounds Cool. Just waiting to get a huge sheet of paper to display my artistic side.

Now before I begin, how do I use them?

Toddling @ A'Famosa Animal World

Dear Uncles and Aunties. My apology for being away for so long. The euphoria from the festive season is still strong in me with loads of partying hence couldn't really find time to blog.

Last weekend was a blast for everyone. Another one of Daddy's getaways and this time around it was to Melaka, the historical city of Malaysia. We went to the A'Famosa Resort. Packing started a day earlier and the boot was filled to the rim.

70% of the stuff was mine. I needed my mattress, bolster and not forgetting my mobile play pen. The journey was a good 2 hours so I spent most of the time sleeping.

Check in was at 4pm so we went straight to the Animal World. The setup was very impressive. This is their main entrance.

Gateway to the Safari world.

Now the trick at these places is that they give you an unbeatable price for the package. Once you get in, every little thing costs you money.

A photo with the tiger is RM15. You can't use your own camera so daddy had to use me as his shield to take this.

Feeding the elephant with little sugar canes pieces, RM4. To get this shot, Grandpa had to purchase for 3 rounds of feeding, these guys were very quick.

They had a number of animal shows, I didn't really like the bird and the multi animal show. The parrot show was ok, they exercised in their mini gym and did some neat stuff.

The orang utans painted and did some somersault. Impressive primates.

I was all eyes at the elephant show. This was the best.

I don't know how they manage to train these humongous mammals to perform fantastics tricks. They danced, played football, basketball, sat on a stool and what impressed me the most was that ... they can paint.

It was not bad for an elephant. At the end of the show, the audience actually bought these masterpieces. Another trick by the management. It was RM10 a piece. Right next to the show area was the Chicken Farm.

I wanted to jump right in and grab them. Cute.

Among the animals kept in captivity for public viewing was the majestic Black Hawk Eagle. All the animals were trying their best to gain the visitors attention, except these birds of prey.

After all the walking we drove down to the nearest town to have our lunch, I didn't feel to good so didn't have anything solid. We decided to head to the room to relax there.

The evening activity was down at the Wild West Town.

This place is all about horses and cowboys. I never got on a real one but they had the Merry Go Round. It's nothing like the one at Metro Prima, that's a pony ride. These are wild stallions.

It was a Sunday night so I guess that's why there was very little people around.

We had the whole ride to ourselves.

The night ended with a big bang as there were fireworks display as part of their daily feature. It was quite a sight from where we were.

We left the next day but like all holidays there's always ups and downs, Grandma lost her duffel bag with some valuable items in them. That took all the cheer away.
