2014 Year End Holiday Activity #3 - Pantai Indah Seaview

This was a short trip before New Year. The Pantai Indah Seaview Resort was about 25km from Kuala Selangor and time was pretty much spent driving around.
Did a little prawn catching nearby a commercial fishing pond.
Enjoying fantastic seafood fare for dinner.

2014 Year End Holiday Activity #2 - Lexis, Port Dickson

One of the biggest highlight last year was when my cousin sister's family came down from Johannesburg, South Africa for holiday in KL.
We had loads of fun but the best was our 3 days holiday at the fancy Lexis Port Dickson resort. The chalets are on water equipped with viewing glass panels.
We tried lots of things, Segway ride.
Wii Games.
Archery.
Clowning around and making the best of the trip. Baby Sailesh was just as excited and trilled with his first external trip with us.
Mostly we just lazed around and relaxed. Spending loads of sista time sharing stories and listening of musics. Come visit us again Rakshita!

2014 Year End Holiday Activities

December holidays are always a time to look out for simply because it's when we students really unwind after a whirlwind of a year submerged in books.
There was loads of food, in particular, Spaghetti Grill. Their fried chicken strips is awesome to say the least. But the highlight was the sumptuous Pizza.
Since it was Christmas, I bumped into lots of Santa Claus.
Here's Santa with Santarina.
This one not only looks like the real one (well atleast that's how we've been made to believe), he sings too and his voice is fantastic!
My personal favourite was Uncle KT. Not only I know him personally, his gifts were awesome and we had a blast mingling and interacting with his alter ego.
It was a pot luck party hence daddy prepared Italian seasoned linguini served with a choice of spicy peppers and tomato sauce or mushroom and herb sauce.
Worked on my own personalized T-shirt.
Attended a 5 days holiday camp @ Kiddo Science where 3 days was spend on science of Magic and the last 2 days on desert making. The masterpiece above is 3 of my workmanship using edible items.
2 Days of sensory development and brain training @ Genius Mind Academy. Sounds pretty heavy but it's great exercise to help students focus better.

A fruitful holiday indeed!

Preview @ Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort

Thanks to Aunty Gin, we got an opportunity to preview the lovely Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort. This is the cool resort that has water chalets shaped like the palm tree inspired by the Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali, on the coast of Dubai.
Sepang is a very relaxed town. Movement was minimal on a Sunday morning and everyone seems to be going about doing their thing.
We had lunch at the Seri Bayu Resort which was close by to Avani. The view of all the water chalets were pretty awesome from here. Kampung Fried Rice!
Malaysia's favourite, Nasi Lemak.
My favourite, Fish and chips.
As we drove into Avani, this huge signage gave us a warm feeling and parking, though looked troublesome but was easy once you know the location.
The place was huge and offered lots of activities. We were led to the preview area and got a glimpse of their restaurants.
The time share preview was for their vacation club and the offer was pretty enticing.
I enjoyed the buggy tour around the place and though we didn't sign up for the package, the folks were kind enough to extend a night's free stay.

Private & International School Fair

Yesterday I made my way to Mid Valley Megamall specifically for this fair though the idea of shopping was pretty tempting, we refrained from it.
Both wings of the exhibition center was allocated for this event and major schools and institutions were all there showcasing their offers.
Among them were training and skill development centers. One particular center, happens to be in Kepong measured my brain waves and reported I have a good balance of both my left and right brain but needed fine tuning focus, attention and stress management! Me ... Stressed?
The science experiments were pretty cool.
My former play school, Gymboree were there and I couldn't help but take a snap with their adorable mascot, Gymbo the clown.
Dropped in to say hello to my school heads and received heaps of praises for being a great student but wondered why was I here, scouting new school??

I have to prove myself if I want to continue here, part of a deal I striked with daddy.

Deepavali - The next day ... Kaththi

After all the massive partying the day before, yesterday I spent, literally, the whole morning packing and distributing Deepavali delicacies to all our neighbours.
In the afternoon, I made it to the 2pm show of the much anticipated, Kaththi!

Behindwoods.com : Kaththi is a grand production which rides on Vijay's dual roles, the social interest angle & impactful scenes which are part of the mix. Murugadoss delivers a strong commercial movie with a nice social angle, in true Vijay style!
The movie was simply awesome! Some scenes left me in tears which really showcased Vijay the actor who was really at ease getting into emotional scenes.

Happy Deepavali!

Happy Deepavali Everyone!

The day started with prayers at home receiving blessings from the elders and then followed by prayers in the temple. We were at the Kaliamman temple, Kepong.

Visitors came by 11 in the morning and after that I was at my Uncle's place for lunch and after a sumptuous meal, another round out in the restaurant around 3pm.

By the time we returned home there were guests being entertained by Grandma and Grandpa and after freshening up, we left to Aunt's place for dinner and fireworks. We made so much noise, the quiet neighbourhood woke in shock!

Deepavali Feista - Jalan Ipoh

The Jalan Ipoh stretch fronting the Sri Thandayuthapani Temple has been a popular spot for us when it comes to meeting the Indian need. What I meant was the typical household, cooking and clothing needs that's more inclined to us culturally.
The short walkway along the street has a good collection of establishments and they put up their own mini Deepavali bazaar every year. Grandeur in setup.
We bought some delicacies and raw materials so that grandma can prepare extras for the upcoming celebration. I found a little stall offering fireworks .. ahem!
A handful of shopping completed here and we're good to go ... for now.

New Eats - 2nd Trip to Juro

The last time I was at Juro, tried the pork and the succulent meat left a great taste and since daddy had an unused voucher, we made our way there last Sunday.
This time I had the Grilled Norwegian Salmon Steak glazed with Teriyaki sauce.
Tried the German Bratwurst and pepper sausage served with 2 types of savoury sauces with fries, coleslaw and salad as sides. Both hearty dishes consumed with pleasure.
Finished it off with Cup cake and vanilla ice-cream.

Deepavali Fiesta Starts!

Deepavali falls on the 22nd of October this year and the seasons celebration always kicks off with shopping! Destination: Jalan Tengku Kelana, Klang.
We were there by noon yesterday, the day was serene with potential rain. The thick clouds was a blessing in disguise as it served well for walking about.
Typical festive atmosphere and this year the prices seem to have increased by at least 10% all around. That didn't deter eager shoppers thronging major outlets.
I didn't buy much since I've already did mine well in advance and with my traditional attire being custom made. Bought varieties of biscuits and delicacies.

Toddling @ Gold Coast Morib

Last week, during the short school break, we headed out to Morib. It's a mere hour's drive from KL city and with a great deal on Groupon, the Gold Coast was irresistible!
Like minded folks were already thronging the reception counter an hour before check-in but lucky us we did all prior bookings and secured a lovely room. The package was inclusive of breakfast and dinners so we didn't have to worry about what to eat.
We had a nice view of the resorts water theme park and knowing me, I spent the next 2 days soaking in it at every given opportunity. Overcame my fear of high slides.
The other cool activity I did get on the flying fox. It was my first time attempting it so I had butterflies in my tummy but knew I had to try this no matter what.
Since I overcame my fear of heights, I managed this steep ladder pretty easily. The zip line was leading straight into sea minus the water as it was low tide.
That's my zipping down the line!
The sand was very clean and lovely closer to the resort but was not too appealing as we got closer to the sea. Day 2 was mainly on the beach and another dip in the pool. We took some time in the evening and drove into Morib town for some shopping.
On check-out day I spent most of my time in the jacuzzi. It was pure bliss relaxing while watching TV as they had this window that opens up for a view into the room.
