Global Indian Festival 2010
The recently concluded shopping fair has always been a major attraction for Malaysian shoppers. The organizers always times it well just before Deepavali. We got ours done courtesy of Dad's trip to Bangalore.
The biggest draw at this fair is to have the chance to buy items coming in directly from India. The prices are certainly more than one can bargain for but worth saving the money on a flight ticket to India.
Presence of reputable local dealers promoting their goods gave a good mix making this truly a global affair. The crowd was not what one would anticipate especially on weekends nevertheless the place was lively.
The fair had many accompanying events that went with it. Many of them are featured on the Global Indian Festival website @ http://www.gisf.com.my/
Of all the work of art displayed there, this one by a popular local snacks vendor caught my eye.
