Daddy wanted to give out little 'souvenir' to everybody who attended my birthday celebration and his colleagues at work and so he got busy a week earlier.
What you see there is my Heinz Baby food bottle half filled with Milk Sweets decorated with a pink ribbon. Daddy says it's symbolic for my 1st birthday ... the baby food bottle filled with sweets. He just thinks too hard.
I saw him working on it, soaking, cleaning, brushing (for the label to come off) and wiping the bottles, bought the sweets and did the packing the night before. Poor daddy, but the outcome was fantastic.
For all the aunties out there, here's the recipe, hope you try making them. I know I won't be able to, I'm not allow anywhere near the stove.
Ingredients:
- 1 Can condensed sweetened milk
- 1 cup milk powder
- 1/2 Cup butter
Method:
- Take a pan and heat butter in it.
- Remove the pan from the fire and combine milk powder to it, mix well.
- Now add sweetened condensed milk to it.
- Simmer for about 4-6 minutes, keep stirring the mixture.
- When bubbles appear, remove the pan and let it cool.
- Cut milk sweets into desired shapes and serve.

Toddling @ ...Where do I begin?
25th July 2008 is most certainly my busiest day for all my 1 year 12 days since birth. If daddy has chores to do, why drag me in with it.
The day took off with me crying. The MMR jab, a must just after I turn 1. How thoughtful of such lovely present. If I could only reach daddy's head, I'd knock on it.
Damansara Specialist Hospital, that's where I was born and going back there brings back memories ...ahhh, not that I recall any of it. Daddy often tells me stories of getting mom admitted and carrying me for the first time.
Here I am with a sore thigh (thanks to my pediatrician), lying bored and painful in my stroller while I tried to take a shot at the hospital lobby. The place looks like a hotel.
After that we all went home for lunch and I had a nap right before I took mine. As I woke up grandma was already on standby with my lunch in one hand and warm water in the other. Before I could even burp, daddy dragged us out again.
One after the other, Public Bank, CIMB and then Maybank. Daddy had bills to pay and according to him one of the stops was for me. He's investing in an education plan for me and went on and on about how important education is .....Daddy I'm 1, all I care about is milk and some good fun.
The evening concluded with prayers at the temple. By the time I got back, all I wanted to do was share this exiting day with all the uncles and aunties out there. It was tiring but a great day indeed. Weekends here ....wooohooo!!

Toddling @ 1 Utama
Away for a few days cause I was busy setting up my room. Grandpa got me a bigger wardrobe cabinet and Grandma arranged everything nicely for me.
Last weekend, aunty had a get together with her friends at 1U so daddy thought since he was going to drop her there, we all should go and spend some time there.
We had ...well ...they had dinner at the food court and as usual I was left with milk. Sigh. The most important thing for me is these places must have reasonably tidy Baby changing / feeding room.
The one at 1U is very nice. Thank You to the uncles and aunties who help set it up for us babies.
This room came equipped with lovely charts, sofas, nice changing table tops inside private cubicles. Now this would surely put a smile on any baby's face.
Nothing much for me play cause the play area was already closed by the time we got there. So daddy paid RM3 for a horse ride. Oh my, was my head spinning or what, I was galloping non stop for a good 5 minutes. At my age, this is not good.

The Brithday Dinner
Everyone arrived by 7.30pm and I was all dressed and ready ... my sincere thanks to grandma and aunty for dressing me up. Oh Boy! was I pretty or what ... they both transformed me into an angel.
We had the whole floor upstairs to ourselves, Grandpa manage to get the restaurant manager to allow that and we had some minor deco put up for it.
There were some delays cause my uncle had lessons to attend to and he came late with grand uncle & aunty, we cut the cake as soon as they arrived. Dinner was served right after. Everyone really enjoy the north indian dishes.
I sat right next to mommy, you can't see me cause it was bad enough being the smallest on top of that the high baby chair didn't help much.
I wish to thank my grandparents, parents, aunty & uncles, not forgetting my grand uncles & aunties for being there to celebrate my 1st Birthday.

Special Prayers on My Birthday
The day started off very very early, I was force to wake up even though everyone knew we had a blast the night before. Grandma raised the radio volume trying to awaken me. ZZZzzzzzz
I got into a very nice traditional outfit and we all went to the temple. There was a special prayer arranged just for me ..... I'm touched.
It was at the Sri Karpaga Vinayagar Temple. A very beautiful and peaceful place to perform our prayers. It's located right behind the famous Batu Caves.
Here's a shot taken from the temple entrance at Batu Caves, gives you an idea of which part of behind Batu Caves I'm taking about.
Daddy carried me all the way around the temple and throughout the prayers. Poor daddy, I'm growing up and certainly not getting any lighter. I took this shot while hanging on to Daddy's collar for balance.
After the prayers we head down to Batu Caves to carry out our prayers there and have our breakfast. As usual everyone had nice hot plate of 'thosai' with vegetable curry and I had my cereal. Daddy says this is the first time he's trying this flavour for me, for fear of me throwing up, I noticed he kept his distance.
I had the Nestle Gold cereal oats with prunes ....Yum! It was very nice indeed. I really enjoyed it. At least they thought of giving me a good meal on my birthday.
PS. Thosai or Dosa is a thin pancake made of rice and black gram flour. This is how it looks like
That night it was party all the way, we had a small family gathering with all my grand uncles & aunties at a very cosy indian restaurant for dinner and the cake cutting ceremony .... and that's another story ..... I'll still need to get the pictures cause daddy found out about me fiddling around with his camera phone and hid it away..Gggrrrrrr..
