Daddy wanted to give out little 'souvenir' to everybody who attended my birthday celebration and his colleagues at work and so he got busy a week earlier.
What you see there is my Heinz Baby food bottle half filled with Milk Sweets decorated with a pink ribbon. Daddy says it's symbolic for my 1st birthday ... the baby food bottle filled with sweets. He just thinks too hard.
I saw him working on it, soaking, cleaning, brushing (for the label to come off) and wiping the bottles, bought the sweets and did the packing the night before. Poor daddy, but the outcome was fantastic.
For all the aunties out there, here's the recipe, hope you try making them. I know I won't be able to, I'm not allow anywhere near the stove.
Ingredients:
- 1 Can condensed sweetened milk
- 1 cup milk powder
- 1/2 Cup butter
Method:
- Take a pan and heat butter in it.
- Remove the pan from the fire and combine milk powder to it, mix well.
- Now add sweetened condensed milk to it.
- Simmer for about 4-6 minutes, keep stirring the mixture.
- When bubbles appear, remove the pan and let it cool.
- Cut milk sweets into desired shapes and serve.
