Happy Birthday Grandma

Last Wednesday was Grandma's Birthday. I'm not sure of her age but she's looking more radiant day after day. Everyone says it's because of me ... I bring out the youth in her.

We performed our Thanks to Lord Ganesha at his temple in Jalan Ipoh and right after, we had a lovely dinner at the Amarin. It's a Thai restaurant located at the Center Court, Mid Valley Mega Mall.

We ordered a mix of vege & non-vege dishes and I love the variety of colours the dishes were prepared in. It must have been spicy cause i saw daddy gulping down lots of water after the soup.

Mid Valley on a weekday night is heaven for toddling babies like me, we have all the space we need to flex the muscle and make a dash for it.

Toddling @ KL Butterfly Park

Last weekend I got swift off my feet and was taken on a magical trip to the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park.

I just love butterflies. Looking at one is electrifying enough, imagine having to walk with literally hundreds of them flying majestically around you. An out of the world experience.

There's a stream running within the enclosed area that houses lovely school of Japanese Carps. I hope they are not feasting on dead butterflies cause their sizes were huge.

I was so close, splashes on me as they were swimming by. I was too mystified by their splendor to even worry about it.

It must have taken so much hardwork to have such greenery. Daddy's routine weekend romp in our garden is tough enough to maintain, imagine this.

This was taken nearby a little rabbit cage, there were butterflies all over the walkway. Seems like they were teasing the rabbits.

They looked pretty hungry to me. Cute fellows were coming after my fingers. Oh how I would love to have one as my pet.

PS. Daddy, I hope you're reading this.

It looked as if I was committing a crime. It's not like I was going to grab that butterfly. I was merely testing his attentiveness. Really.

Not another crime in progress. It's just me in my CSI mode. Check out the Sherlock Holmes inspired cap exclusively bought by Grandpa from his trip to Bangkok recently.

Daddy claims this to be one of his best shots. It's suppose to be artistic. I seriously don't understand how that's possible, since we can't even make out who's who in this picture.

The walk ends with a path leading to this room filled with so much information on insects. Daddy was going on and on with all his scientific terms, I hope he's not gathering details for my bedtime stories.

Toddling @ Sunway Pyramid

My trip to Sunway Pyramid was daddy's secret backup plan. Our initial destination was the Wildlife Park at the Lagoon, but daddy diverted into the mall after looking at the entrance fee.

Pyramid was fun in it's own way, especially the Ice Skating. It houses the largest skating school in South East Asia. Once I get my footing all steady, I'm gonna start cruising on Ice!

All the walking made us tired and hungry so we made a stop at Mantra Restaurant & Bar for lunch. They serve Indian fusion food. It had a very cozy atmosphere.

As I was busy browsing through the menu, hoping I'd get something 'real' to sink my 8 teethes into....Grandma was all ready with my cereal and milk.Sigh.

There was a fantastic view of the Lagoon from the restaurant. I'm gonna get Daddy to buy me a lovely pink colored two-piece bathing suit when I'm ready to hit the waves.

Toddling @ My Garden

Earlier this evening, marked a very important & significant milestone for me. I was toddling all by myself in my Garden. Unsupervised .... well there were 2 of them running around trying to stop me, but I was on a roll!

It's important because i normally don't get to hang around the garden for fear of mosquitoes.

Happy Birthday Ganesha

Last Wednesday was Ganesh Chaturthi. It was Lord Ganesha's Birthday. It falls on the 4th day of the new moon in the month of Aavani (August - September).

Both Daddy and Mommy are ardent devotees of the Lord and naturally I have a special attraction to him.

It's a grand celebration in all temples and this year we fulfilled our prayers at the Ganesha Temple in Briekfields.

The exciting part was I came face to face with an elephant! I had the opportunity to touch him and even feed him sugar cane. This is most definitely the best Ganesh Chaturthi for me. (Although it's only my second... ;-)

Toddling @ Genting Highlands

After all the mini rides at Shopping Complexes .... I finally made it to Genting Highlands, the ultimate ride. It was even more memorable since our trip was on our nation's Independence Day (31st August).

We left early in the morning. We packed some sandwiches for the trip and I took my jacket along since it was a rainy week so we never know what to expect up there.

Grandma wanted to go to the temple that was located mid way to the theme park so we offered our prayers there.

After that we stopped at a nearby restaurant to have breakfast. I had my Honey Joy cereal and milk. Everyone else had their noodles and Roti Canai's.

We parked and took the Cable Car up, it was a very scary ride but I had to train myself, if I can't handle this, how am I to conquer the rides.

We walked around and saw lots of exciting indoor games, I went on all of it. Ferris Wheel, Train & mini safari rides and even on a gondola trip.

Funnily, we kept indoors all the time, from tea breaks to lunch at a Thai restaurant. Grandpa said it was really cold outside and it was not good for me.

I was heart broken but then again, it was for my own good. We got a souvenir made, a wax sculpture of my left foot, pretty cool huh.

It was a very exciting trip, I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to going back again. The next time, it will certainly be for the outdoor games.
