In need for an Orthosis

I misjudged the uniqueness of the way I stand after a trip to Tropicana City Mall. Turns out there 's a need for a brace to help correct my flat feet.
MyOrtho held it's public showcase and an attempt at the Malaysian Book of Records for the highest number of foot scan at the Mall's center court.
Orthotist Edmund Lee broke the shocking news to daddy and the man crumbled! Kids normally do walk or stand different but eventually grow into a fixed style.
Problem happens when that style can lead to complications in the future so there is a need for corrective mechanisms by aligning the feet with the right type of insole. Dr.Kong's healthy footwear also helps improve the realignment.
I need a custom made one and some physio to help me re-learn my walk patterns and taken the steps towards advance correction. Kids in general should make it a point to 'see where they stand' cause many of us don't have a perfect pair of feet.

Well there's no need for glumness or worries, read all about it at their website for more info. iRingBo came at the right time to set the mood right.
A fancy robotic ride which is actually a futuristic replacement to the regular car or animal ride that you find in malls. The kiosk activates the unit and accepts payments which really makes it super easy for kids and why do they still need an attendant?
Well it's super easy so there's a fear we kids might just ride the unit all the way back home!

New Eats - Pizza

May sound really odd for a 5 year old to only experience Pizza at this age. True enough for some reason I never wanted to take a bite.
Finally took the courage and ended up loving it!
Maybe because it was all cheese ...

Toddling @ Pavilion for A Train Ride

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur made a mark with some serious decoration for all major festivity and year end normally takes the cake.
I made my trip there just to experience the train ride. This was part of their boisterous Christmas setting in the midst of a dreamy, majestic environment.
The ride was just a couple of circles around the Christmas tree but it did go at some speed requiring all of us to be strapped in.
The huge princess chariot was quite a sight but it would have been cool if we could get a seat for the photo shoot ... now that would have been swell!
Exercised my poses to the camera.
Loved the reindeer.

New Eats - Mughal Cuisine

The imperial kitchens of the Mughal empire from the Indian subcontinent gave birth to the Mughlai Cuisine. It carries very strong Persian influence.
Some of the dishes were a little spicy but the soup and the yoghurt rich dish were mild on the spices. Daddy had to run the meat through his soup bowl to get them 'chilli' free so that I don't create a scene.
The restaurant was thoughtful enough to cater for their young patrons with a colouring activity to keep us busy. Since it was the Christmas season, the theme was all about the celebration.
They also left a section of the restaurant so that our masterpieces could grace the wall. All in an enjoyable evening with good food and kid centric activity.

Chucky in Malaysia?

Scary !!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas decorations have always been a major highlight every year at all leading departmental stores. This year is no exception and here are some of my favourites.
This one tops my list, A towering Mickey and Minnie tree!
Santa's Toy workshop ...
The rain-deers taking off ...
and A feature on famous Disney princesses.

One particular shop lot allowed kids to make 1 free bracelet each. Now that's really something in the spirit of giving. Merry Christmas folks!

Toddling @ Star Education Fair

Both daddy and I have been busy the past few weeks, visiting schools trying to decide on where I should pursue my primary education.
Grandpa needed to use the car so he dropped us off at KL Sentral. LRT ride to KLCC. Since it was a weekend, the crowd was at tolerable level.
Ticketing was a breeze though the machine had some preference to mint note. All of our hand ironed crumpled ones kept getting rejected.
The journey was fun! We hopped into the last cart to get a good view as we traveled.
Breathtaking scene until we hit the underground tunnel.
The early birds had to hang around for a bit until the halls opened up. Lots of eager parents and kids were seen strategizing their moves while waiting to get in.
Ours was easy for there were just a few to visit. We were hoping for more schools that offered KSSR only to find ourselves at all the international ones. Nevertheless it was quite an eye opener to learn so much about programs that they offered.
All that walking and talking left us very hungry so we dashed to the food court and jumped right into some 'Kung Fu' for lunch.
Cheese baked rice served with roasted chicken and salmon. Though we didn't gain as much as we wanted from the fair, it was such an experience just travelling there.

Sindhu After Shower

She is an overly spoilt dog!

IBM Kids @ Work

Last Friday, I joined daddy at the office! It was part of the organization's annual club activity where employees get to bring their children to their workplace.
We all had an extremely tight, packed agenda from 9am till 5.30pm. There were games, movie, magic and puppet shows to keep us entertained.
There was a gap of 2 hours for us to have lunch with our parents and spend some time visiting their workstation and meeting colleagues.
Well it's called Kids@Work and I jumped right into it wanting to give daddy a well deserved break but it didn't work out since I couldn't get pass the password prompt.
This is my IBM buddy, Eliza. Both of us live wires kept all the volunteers on their toes with constant running around and our very own disappearing act.We both won ourselves prizes for active participation and winning the games!

New found Love #2

Saidina!

Lasertag @ eCurve

After the gruesome 70 minutes of none stop action running around in IOI Mall, we planned yet another session once again last Tuesday.
The equipment here was had greater sensitivity and target points are sharper.
There was very little place you can actually hide behind but that's the good thing about this place cause it keeps you on your toes at all times.
Being an experienced 'Tagger', no need for briefing and we rampaged the placed the moment it started. Wasn't enough for me but had to stop at some point.
Enjoyed lunch and a nice cone of ice-cream on that cool day.

New found Love!

Scrabble!

IBM Family Day 2012

Yesterday morning, I got up early to join daddy at the organization's Family Day event which was held at the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort.
We made it there by 8am and had ample time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The resort housed some of the finest palace like homes of the rich and famous.
Event and activity registration was a breeze for all the early comers. We had our breakfast mingling and I got to know some of daddy's colleagues.
Another plus point about being early is that most of the activities were empty! I got a lovely flower painted on my hand. Kudos to the artist and her creativity.
The end design was so cool, walking around displaying it attracted instant recognition and other kids started to make a beeline to the face painting booth.
Next stop was at the sand art corner. It's a must have in every event involving kids.
As the event proper started to unfold, 2 exceptionally fit folks took the stage to warm the attendees up for the opening ceremony. We surely did with sweat pouring all over.
While the adults got busy at bowling and telematch, I signed up for the colouring competition. Didn't make the podium but had good fun making new friends.
It was also a pleasant surprise for me as I came to know a female clown. The first I've seen! She was very friendly and am glad to see her in this male dominated industry.
The highlight for me was the Tug of war! I was in Team Apple against mighty Banana.
It was a tough battle for the opponent had some well built kids and their anchor sent shiver down our spines. With all our might, we managed a decent 2nd place.
Made more friends and continued with all the sand art we could get as it was free flow for hours. Though the food was tad bit disappointing for an MNC standard, all the activity were in good fun and great bonding.
