The Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens is widely touted as a well hidden gem that many people many not know of it's existence.
Nested amidst the bustling part of the city, right smack in the middle of major highways, it's something that's easily overlooked by KLites.First up, the lovely orchid and hibiscus garden. It's serene ambiance topped with lovely morning breeze is a must visit early in the day to enjoy it's beauty.
A short walk from the garden leads you to this observation deck that continues it's path built on used railway sleepers, Caution: It can be very slippery especially after the morning dew on fresh moss.
We got pretty tired of walking and hopped on the tram that took us around the Lake which gave us a good idea of where else to drop by.
The Deer park looked like it needed immediate maintenance assistance but the animals were looking rather healthy with loads of food.
A short drive from the Orchid garden, is the National Planetarium. Now this is where I really enjoyed the most.
Mini satellite dish fountains were not only creative but set the atmosphere of what we're about to experience inside.
It's very well managed and bless our lucky stars most of the exhibits were is good working condition which isn't the case of any setup that's free of charge.
I got my experience being an astronaut for a day.
Not easy to be sleeping vertically.
The toilets aren't that easy too.
The highlight was the planetarium space theater. The screening on the Solar storm blew me away and I felt like the sun was at an arm's reach. The viewing gallery at a 106.5 Meter gave a fantastic 360 degree view of KL city.
Made the headlines as I was leaving the place.
Next on the agenda was the Royal Malaysian Police museum.
The place was filled with armory and boasted some of the legendary artillery and weapons used by the Malaysian forces.
The collection was just awesome.
Highly inspired by Vijay's hit movie Thuppakki, this exhibit left a lasting impression.
