I must have cruised by the MRR2 countless times yet this discovery was only made recently. The Kepong Metropolitan Park runs parallel to this highway found on the right if you're going towards Batu Caves.
For a kite enthusiast ... this is the place for you.
Kites in various sizes and shapes are found to be on sale as we enter the park. These are for amateurs like me but during the windy days you can catch some experienced kite flyers showing their skills with kites as big as 30 feet!
The place is packed with people from all walks of life and some are found to bring along their picnic basket too. There are mobile vendors trying to cash in by selling all kinds of food items.
The management came up with this brilliant idea of making extra money attracting park goers to get on their tram ride. It's 4 ringgit a person and the ride stretches for 45 mins all around the park.
It travels along a small pathway that runs along a rubberised jogging track. Be careful with your belongings while you're on the tram. There are motorcycles speeding on the path too and dangling bags or purse can grab their attention.
The scenery is breathtaking. Anglers are seen busy around the 50 hectare lake.
There were people jogging, taking a stroll and some seems to just relax by the lake.
All in if the weather is kind to us, this is the place to be with your family and friends to catch some naturally fresh air.
