A couple of months back, the community center - Rukun Tetangga organized yet another trip to the state of perak. This time around it was another town.
We started the trip in Kampar where the famous Chicken biscuit is produced. They are also famed for other delicacies that gets sold off pretty fast in the day.
We had an early lunch right after and then off we went to Batu Gajah to visit the last known Tin Dredge in Malaysia located in Tanjung Tualang.
It was not in working condition but they did clean it up good and made it safe for visitors to walk in and view it in all its splendour!
These cup like things, which is at my size, are the ones used on a rotating chain to dig up the tin. I can't imagine how heavy these were and how did they carry it around.
We got on the bus and headed north to Chemor visiting the Seen Hock Yeen Chinese Temple. Some members of the group went on a tour but I decided to stayed back as it was a very hot day. Got myself an ice-cream to cool off.
We also visited the Tambun Pomelo farm to buy some fresh fruit picked right from the trees. Most of the tour members bought this the most.
A very tiring trip but enjoyable at the same time. Loads of items purchased for giveaway to uncles and aunties.

On our way back, we stopped by the Gunung Lang recreation park. The main attraction here is the man-made cascading waterfall atop a limestone hill.
I had to get on the playground and sweat myself out!We also visited the Tambun Pomelo farm to buy some fresh fruit picked right from the trees. Most of the tour members bought this the most.
