In conjunction with our school's 10th Anniversary celebration, the staff were all occupied to a grand celebration hence they gave us students a day off.
So last Friday, daddy planned a surprised trip down to KLCC to the renowned, state-of-the-art oceanarium - Aquaria. Located within 60,000 square-foot space in the Concourse Level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Entrance was a breeze since it was a working / schooling day for everyone else so we have no crowd worries and stood as long as we wanted at each exhibit.
If the piranhas were intimidating, the immediate recourse was to be able to touch and feel the fishes. Most of them were hard to get too but the stagnant ones were easy.
Perfect timing and we got to see them being fed.
Lots of information were available to understand the sea creatures better and I was simply blown away by the way some of them looked.
Both scary and cute!
The coolest part is this 90-metre transparent tunnel with a moving walkway. If you wanted to be amazed and continue staring at the fishes, like what daddy did most of the time, just hop on to the walking path. Just don't block other patrons.
The giant Stingrays were fantastic but up close to Mr. Shark was simply fabulous. From the looks of it, he's got squeaky clean teeth!
At some point, you can just feel like you're actually in the aquarium!
In the vertical aquarium (the ones you see next to Jaws above) house these cute little fellows. My favourites throughout. Marlin, Dory and Nemo were also there!
A well stocked souvinear shop and I just couldn't resist getting something for myself.
This is the most unique thing from my trip to Aquaria, check out the shape of the filament, part of it's central disc or something, taking the form of the Sanskrit Om!

Imagine the horror when I saw this sign.
Various types of 'Jaws' were on display from popular types of sharks. Daddy spoke about a movie made on this subject and he went on humming a tune from the score which was suppose to scare me ... sheeshhh. In the vertical aquarium (the ones you see next to Jaws above) house these cute little fellows.
