Happy Birthday Thalaivaa!

Today, June 22nd, Kollywood Star Ilayathalapathy Vijay's birthday. A prominent web movie news portal made this awesome wallpaper in conjunction of the celebration.
What made it even more joyous to all his fans, the official theatrical trailer of his highly anticipated Vijay directed Thalaivaa debuted online.
Be Amazed!

Monsters University

An all time favourite of mine, Pixar is back with their stars James P. Sullivan - fondly known as "Sulley" and his 'to be' best friend, Mike Wazowski ... Monsters University.
Prequel to Monsters Inc. gives us a glimpse into how they both found each other and what makes this dynamic duo the greatest scarers in the city of Monstropolis.
With new characters added in, the movie was a laugh riot laced with an excellent take home tip for me. Never give up on your dreams!

Garden Surprise

I do spend a fair bit of time in the garden but my height never gave me a chance to enjoy the taller things ... well at least not for now.
Just off the edge of our zinc hood, a bunch of banana were seen growing.
A little closer and I see about 4 hands to the cluster. Can't wait for it to ripen.

Let's Celebrate! Once More

Happy Father's Day!
A little surprise for Grandpa while daddy got a one of a kind handmade card. He said the design and make can never be replicated and found anywhere around the world.

Star Wars Weekend

When daddy asked if I felt the Force as we were walking towards the Kuala Lumpur Library (the one next to Dataran Merdeka), all I felt was the scorching afternoon sun!
I wasn't an avid fan but daddy's small scale collectibles and a view at movie snippets got me all excited at the Star Wars saga!
Organized by the Star Wars Malaysia Fan Club, the event brought together collectors and fans who share the passion for exhibitions, sales bazaar and a charity auction.
Some of the collectibles were meant for display only and not for sale no matter how much money was offered as they were limited edition collectibles.
Some of the merchandise and toys had so much fine details, everytime I tried reaching out to it, daddy kept pulling me back for fear of damaging it. These memorabilia were classic items that's probably extinct from the production line today.
The light saber collection spans across different episodes as used by the respective characters. I'm still getting a hang over all their names.
I missed the colouring competition but this Vader inflatable kept me entertained. Was so tempted to jump on his shoulders but that would certainly agitate the organizers.
Nothing beats the actual encounter with the man himself. I was a little skeptical and fearful at first but he was mingling freely among the crowd gave me the confidence and good thing he didn't have his light saber anywhere nearby.

GSC School Holiday Roadshow

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the hit animation, Despicable Me. When a chance presented itself for a face to face encounter with the adorable minions... I wouldn't give it up for the world!
GSC organized a series of activities for the kids and this 'Make your own Minion water bottle' was a fun try at art and it turned out pretty well.
There were games themed with other upcoming animated films like this model car race based on Dreamworks next big thing, Turbo.
The famous blue creatures.
And it wasn't too long after which they themselves made an appearance. Papa Smurf, Smurfette and of course the ever so clumsy.
To me the biggest stars to walk in that day was the minions! They were simply adorable and very friendly too. The boys loved the camera!

They wanted to pose so much and at the same time promote their upcoming flick.

A dance challenge gave us kids a chance to win exclusive movie merchandise and obviously we made the best out of it. Video posted on GSC's facebook page.
An we also won ourselves a limited edition Monster's University T-Shirt for our handy work in making our own version of a monster soft toy.

Longest Wrap in Malaysia!

Gearing up to a product launch is always the hardest thing for any brand especially attempting to foray into unknown territory.
Mission Wrap, identified as the world's largest tortilla makers, made a massive effort in leaving an impression by attempting to create the longest wrap in Malaysia.
My contribution in creating history and a new entry in the Malaysia Book of Records.
It's fairly easy to make once you get a hang of it. We have our local Popiah's and Samosa's so the technique and filling may differ but ultimately the same concept.
My entry added in....
and so far looking pretty good at achieving the target.
For the effort, participants got a T-shirt and a certificate of participation.

World Oceans Day!

World Ocean Day was celebrated on a mass scale all around the globe and pockets of similar events took place in and around KL and I was fortunate to be at the right place and time to join in the fun.
The major theme for this particular event at the Paradigm Mall was to save the sharks! Loads of activity were lined up. I was busy at the cross word puzzle.
Upon completing, the attendee gets a chance to have a lovely tattoo of a selected shark.
Mine was the mighty Whale Shark!
Being an avid swimmer, this photo certainly is an addition to my collection.
It's best for the shark fin soup to be extinct instead of the fish.
