Charity Food Fair

The Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled, Kepong Center held it's annual Charity food fair yesterday. The word of mouth about the event reached us.
Everyone hoped that these assistance will go a long way for our friends in need.
There were good turnout with almost all the items being snapped up super fast. We were there around 9:30am and were already left if little to purchase.
The support was fantastic and I was glad to be involved in a small way.
Even Kenny Rogers played a part.

Despicable Me 2

The adorable minions are back ... with a little twist (The purple one in the poster gives you the clue) plus my favourite ladies (Agnes has grown up) and not to forget the star of the show, Mr. Gru.

Recruited by the Anti-Villain League, Gru who was settled in to home business of making jam and a dotting father will need to get back into the game.

A laugh riot that I truly enjoyed.

Birthday Fiesta ... Day 2!

Day 2 was all about more good food and trying out something absolutely new ...
Exquisite Northern Indian / Pakistani cuisines, pleasing in a very cosy setup.
Some of the dishes were a little spicy but complimented each other well.
The new try was ice skating at Sunway Pyramid!
With baby steps holding the sides, I managed to balance myself as I reached mid ring. Wasn't easy but I got a hold of it. Not an easy feat.
Despite the crowd, we got hold of the skaters assist that was fantastic and I enjoyed daddy pushing me around. Poor guy took a few tumble in the process of doing so.

Another Year Older .... 6 on 13/7

A week ago, my birthday fiesta was celebrated over the weekend. Since it fell on a Saturday, it made it even merrier and the party continued throughout the 2 days.
Started the day bright with prayers at home and blessings from the elders.
Proceeded to the Karpaga Vinayagar Temple, which has been where I perform special pooja every year for my birthday. The chief priest was in awe of how much I've grown.
Later in the evening, the celebration got off in a very moderate way with a small family gathering over dinner arranged at the Aryan, next to the Quality Hotel.
Serving authentic Northern Indian cuisine, this fine dining restaurant presents itself in a contemporary, chic setting that brings the best in tradition in a modern setup.
We had the pleasure of uncle and aunty,
Grandpa and Grandma,
and Granduncle and his family.
We enjoyed Aryan's fine biryani and tandoori sets. The flavours in both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian servings were really good.
Later at home, it was cake cutting and this time I went with the Disney princess sugar sheet. The change was inevitable as I grow. No more Dora for this little girl!
Made my wish and got all 6 candles at one go.
Best of all was the presents! The lovely dress I'm wearing, an adorable Minnie Mouse back pack, board games and a microscope set were just a few to name. Not forgetting cash gifts for my savings.

1 to 6!

8am and daddy rushed to the bakery to collect my rugged looking Hello Kitty cake. It was a distinct reflection of the rebel inside of me ... ;-)
My class mates were all eager to celebrate and as soon as the cake arrived we all gathered at the canteen during our break time for the mini party.
The pre-celebration got to a rousing start with the customary birthday song and my friends extending their warmest wishes to the birthday girl.
We all enjoyed the delicious chocolate cake and left half for our teachers.
Just before we headed back to class, I handed out the goody bag I prepared for my friends. They were all thrilled with the lovely printout.
After school, the family had a lovely vegetarian lunch.
Can't wait for the big day ....

2 to 6!

Final year of kindergarten is normally associated with one turning 6 cause by 7 you're into primary 1 ... Talk about the time flying by, I'm turning 6 in 2 days!
Busy packing as it's been a practice of mine to give out gifts to my school mates. This year I decided on something simple and straight forward.
This time around my birthday falls on a weekend, which pretty much makes it a full day of fun fiesta but I don't get to spend it with my buddies. So we decided on a pre-celebration a day earlier.
Gave the goody bad a nice touch cause I'm quite certain I won't be in the same school as all of them come next year. hope they remember me as much as I will of them.
