New Eats @ Star Village Steak House

Last Sunday, I got this sudden craving for western food and after searching the net with daddy, we found this place in Desa Aman Puri, Star Village Steak House.
It had a nice ambiance to it & here I am at a display shelf filled with empty bottles!
They had a variety of drinks to choose from.
The cheesy chicken, packed with good amount of cheese. When you cut the piece up, you get this warm cheese filling that oozes out and mixes with the sauce.
Something Malaysian. This dish had a ery nice curry that was not spicy.
Though I pinched from all the other plates, I had to go for the Kids choice as it had simple choices and the mash potato was warm and tender.
The knifes though, were not catered for kids but I tried my best under adult supervision. I was careful at all times using them!

Colouring Competition Winner!

Right after the Go Kart session, I dashed to the Maha Mariamman Temple in Kepong for the Ponggal Fiesta with the highlight being the Ponggal cooking competition.
Though that was the main agenda, they also held a colouring competition for the kids. Here I am with my completed art work along with friends of mine.
Returned home ... Champion!

P.S. Thank You to the temple youth committee for the photo and for organizing such a delightful event. About time temples became a community center.

Go Kart

Made this discovery while I was at the Giant Hypermarket in Kelana Jaya.
Go Kart for Kids!
Wasn't easy at first but after several rounds at slower speed, I was able to control the machine. Eventually I got comfortable playing with the speed switch giving me the acceleration when required.
Here's a short video of me in action!

Federal Territory Day!

Federal Territory Day is a state holiday for Federal Territory in Malaysia. Celebrated on 1 February every year in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.
The date marks the anniversary of formation of the KL Federal Territory in 1974 and celebration normally takes place in front of the famous Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
Though there were a host activities taking place, I was more inclined towards the most eye catching activity around which also turns out to be the only one for kids.
Best part was ... the road condition. Empty!

Happy Chinese New Year!

The Chinese New Year celebration has always been a prominent affair for me as I live in a predominantly Chinese area. Celebration here is always on a grand scale.
I started the day at an open house celebration at the Chinese Assembly Hall. Here I am rubbing off some good luck from the resting lion without the troupe's knowledge.
Typically Malaysian fare, there were lots of people who joined enjoying the feast and host of popular Malaysian political figures were also seen mingling among the crowd.
Everyone was at their best, I thought I'd least get myself a new ear ring!
The good thing at this open house celebration was that the crowd was superbly well behaved. There was no rushing for food and everyone waited for their turn patiently.
