Bye-bye Kindergarten

November 15th was officially the last day of school term for this year. With 3 glorious years in Kindergarten, I bid farewell to my fellow teachers and friends.
The graduation ceremony was a low key affair within the school itself nevertheless I was extremely proud of my achievements.
My results was pretty good overall and daddy was the proudest and even made trips back to school to counter some calculated errors in my marks.
Mandarin was a big let down but I vow to bounce back! Daddy repeated it multiple times that it isn't about the marks but the experience I gain that matters the most.
3 years of Kindergarten education has really taught me some valuable lessons besides the knowledge I gained from the school syllabus. It's going to be hard coming to terms with the fact that I'm moving on to primary education which is going to be a whole experience altogether.

Thank You teachers, friends, family members and everyone who has contributed in someway helping me complete a major milestone on my educational journey.

Karthigai Festival

Karthikai vilakkidu, a popular Hindu festival that normally falls within a week or 2 after Deepavali was celebrated yesterday.
Got busy lighting up lamps.
Some nice shots with an artistic eye
Happy belated Karthigai folks!

New Eats - Organic Vegetarian Meal

Yesterday afternoon we ventured into something totally new to me. It was literally a fresh take on new eats for me by going organic for lunch.
The place was a little tricky to find as it was on the first floor and the signage wasn't easily visible as you drive by, daddy found this place over the web.
The ambiance was simple yet inviting and had that homely feeling with good crowd, probably regular customers who seem to know their way around.

Here's a look at what we had for lunch ...
The Starter
The Soup
Main Course #1
Main Course #2
Main Course #3, the healthiest of them all!
Fruit Tea, an absolute delight.
An interesting, healthy experience and we certainly felt good with that unique experience. All detoxed and feeling refreshing.

Like Dreamland!

This morning as I walked to the door, I had this dream like feeling ...
Smoke all over!! Grandma strung a face mask on me just before I stepped out.
With rampant Denggi cases, the municipal council were taking all the measures to ensure the pesky mosquitoes are dealt with.

Happy Deepavali!

It's 'Rocker Vali'! It was a rather speedy week and here we are for a fun filled day with loads of good food! The celebration kicks off big time.
Certain aspects of the preparation were left to me and I jumped right into them as soon as I woke up. Getting all the delicacies lined up in the serving tray.
Some of them were really delicate thus needed extra care in handling them.
Very inviting indeed!
I decided on setting up the cards on the TV cabinet giving it a different look from past years of hanging them up. It gave a very distinctively interesting feel.
I tried my hand at Water Rangoli using fresh flowers. It turned out pretty nice and with little tealight candles all around them, it will surely look marvelous.
Prayers was at the Sri Subramaniam Temple in Jalan Ipoh.
All of us made our way to aunty and uncles home where we enjoyed breakfast.
Right after that we were back to my place just before lunch where we all received our Deepavali 'angpow'. This year, I had a bigger collection ;-)
Lunch was at Uncle Sarvesh's place.
Italian dinner at Grumps. Fish schnitzel with italian sausage served with spiral pasta, salad and mushroom sauce. A touch of western to round up the day.
My water rangoli in all it's glory with the candles lit up.

Deepavali - 1 Day to Go!

1 day to Deepavali but I spent most of my day at the Enfagrow Brain Expo at the KL Convention Center. Organized by Krista, my friends and I learned alot.
Major scrubbing and snow wash was in need so I tasked daddy to ensure them to completion. First up ... Sindhu.
