The Longest Batik Painting by Children

At 5 years old, I've made a small contribution being part of a massive exercise that was recognized as a new entry to the Malaysian Book of Records!
The Longest Batik Painting made by children, all of whom were from the Krista Kindergarten.
The feat will be on display at the Hartamas Shopping Center till early next month. Certification took place yesterday attended by key dignitaries.
All the kids worked hard at completing each piece which was later attached to one another before being brought in to be strung up. Some last minute pieces were also done onsite.
To entertain the attendees, some schools came forward with great performances like this Arabian piece.
One that came all the way from Sarawak.
A sketch on Snow White and the 7 Krista Kids.
A Choir ... and
The finale by the Winners of the Krista Central Region Carnival 2011!
The anchor dancer wasn't visible at the picture before this but a crucial element to the piece performed to the tune of Lady Gaga's Poker Face.
Overwhelmed at the feat and our performance ...
Nice work by my mates and me for the glory of Krista!

The Avengers

Enjoyed the movie thoroughly! 9:30pm show must have been a little too late for me for I slept through the boisterously loud climax.

Happy Wesak

This afternoon we made our way to the Sri-Lanka Buddhist Temple located in Sentul. Traffic was crawling but thanks to the volunteer force Rela, getting a parking was relatively easy.
Steady flow of devotees were managed very well by the youth committee who helped coordinate at key areas within the temple. We had no problem at all making our offerings.
This temple has been our yearly destination for as long as I can remember and stepping inside instantly creates this tranquility within. The teachings of Buddhism is all around.

Finding such orderly conduct in some temples can be questionable for failed management in performing their duties. No offence, it's just an observation from my limited experience.
The money tree was an interesting way to get people to donate for a good cause as the temple conducts lots of charitable work for the under privileged.
At the time of leaving, they were gearing up for the evening procession. The floats were looking absolutely spellbinding.
