Grandpa turned 70!

Last month we celebrated Grandpa's 70th Birthday with a huge surprise party at the Gem Restaurant in Petaling Jaya. Rocking 70 was the theme of the day.
It was a month long plan with everything going flawlessly as Grandpa had no clue what was in store for him including Grandma thinking it was going to be a normal day out.
All our close relatives and friends were invited and grandpa's close friends also joined to wish him well. The whole ground floor was booked for our event.
Cake cutting, a video presentation of Grandpa from his younger days, my song rendition specially for him and great food made the night super special.

Happy Rocking 70th Grandpa!

Happy New Year 2015!

Starting the year with loads of presents! Thank You Aunty Caroline for the gifts.
2014 has been a very challenging year for me. Starting Junior school and enjoying every bit of it was fun coupled with a fair share of intensity but I emerged unscathed.
I am looking forward to a great 2015 with my head held high looking forward with great hope and ambition. My empathy to the flood victims and deepest sorrow to the families going thru the airlines tragedy. School begins a week late on the 12th.

Happy Karthigai!

Yesterday, all the Hindu homes were brightly lit with lamps to signify the Karthigai celebration. Just like past year, we had a lovely line up.
New lamps were bought and prepared.
Uncle got us these unique ones. The material was also much stronger.
Brilliantly arranged with Grandpa's help.
Happy Karthigai everyone!

Preview @ Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort

Thanks to Aunty Gin, we got an opportunity to preview the lovely Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort. This is the cool resort that has water chalets shaped like the palm tree inspired by the Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali, on the coast of Dubai.
Sepang is a very relaxed town. Movement was minimal on a Sunday morning and everyone seems to be going about doing their thing.
We had lunch at the Seri Bayu Resort which was close by to Avani. The view of all the water chalets were pretty awesome from here. Kampung Fried Rice!
Malaysia's favourite, Nasi Lemak.
My favourite, Fish and chips.
As we drove into Avani, this huge signage gave us a warm feeling and parking, though looked troublesome but was easy once you know the location.
The place was huge and offered lots of activities. We were led to the preview area and got a glimpse of their restaurants.
The time share preview was for their vacation club and the offer was pretty enticing.
I enjoyed the buggy tour around the place and though we didn't sign up for the package, the folks were kind enough to extend a night's free stay.
