Deepavali - 6 Days to Go!

What's Deepavali without it's traditional greeting cards. Though I had given out to my friend and relatives, this year I wanted to keep some of my favourites to myself.
Decoration was mediocre and nothing to shout about but still the twinkle in the lights really brings out the festivity mood.
For me the biggest thing this Deepavali is the release of Vijay's highly anticipated A.R. Murugadoss directed 'Thuppakki'. He is going to set the screen on blaze!

Deepavali - 7 Days to Go!

'Rocker Vali' really got off to a flying start as I never imagined in my wildest dream that my annual countdown would literally 'rock' me!
Both my Lower right and left central is about to pop out. Goodness ... talk about the timing this is taking place. A tight lip smile from now on.
Tooth growth aside, I just got back from the latest installment in the Bond franchise, Skyfall. It was a complicated movie cause it dealt with the emotional side of it.

It was a little too heavy for me, so I decided to take a short nap until Javier Bardem started blowing things up. Not the typical Bond movie ... this one's different but in a good way.
I over my finals and was free from books as of yesterday and looking forward to the upcoming holidays. Daddy needs to jump start primary school scouting fast.

Toddling @ Deepavali Bazaar, Klang

With 9 days to go before Deepavali, many places have ramped up their and got into gear to the festivity. I was at my annual shopping spot, Jalan Tengku Kelana, Klang.
Nothing extraordinary, just the regular sales and open selling of fireworks.
One particular thing that irked me was that, it took us a fair bit of spinning around to find a decent parking spot. All legitimate lots were over flowing and guess where the rest spilled to,
By the roadside causing massive traffic build up all throughout the main road.
Our friends in uniform were busy setting up a booth, so I surely hope they do something about the haphazard parking.

2 days from today, countdown to Satya's 'Rocker Vali' starts!

A gift from Sri-Lanka

They went a little overboard on the starch!

Malay Wedding Reception

I was at daddy's colleague's wedding reception yesterday and was overwhelmed at the deco. They themed it with my favourite colour.
What was even more interesting is that I experienced the traditional Malay fare with the water kettle for hand washing that came ready on each table. Though I settled for cutleries, gave this traditional method a try.
