1Malaysia Community Carnival

The state Department of Information held the district level 1Malaysia Community Carnival at the Segambut tamil school yesterday. It was a nearby neighbourhood so we decided to pay a visit after breakfast.
It attracted many from in and around the area with heaps of activities for both children and adults. Since it was a government sponsored event, they served breakfast, handed out goodie bags, prizes for the activities and celebrities turnout to spice things up.
The Tabika (government funded nursery) kids were invited for the colouring competition. I was eligible despite being in it but had to sit out due to overwhelming response. We received little gifts as a sign of good gesture for not being able to participate. 'Nough said, I was both impressed and happy.
I got good remarks on my teeth at the free dental check-up booth. This one had not many takers but the booth carrying out free blood pressure reading had parents queuing all the way out in the sun.
The booth with most kids hanging out was the one by the wildlife department. Not a regular fixture at family carnivals hence the curiosity. 1 Malaysia Community Blog
